NO point in using vehicles especially the shield ones that I speeced into. 50k isk sica just blows my 500k isk 10 million + gunnlogi in seconds. Im gonna go and put my main account (the one I have had since chromosome and love dearly) away. NO point in wasitng money on expensive sh*tty dropships and stupidly weak tanks. swarms are also freking annoying now doing over 1000 damage over my hardener. Blaster now just go though my shield like a warm knife in butter even with a hardener on.
Thank you CCP for taking away the only thing that shield tanks had over armor tanks (the resistance).
Now that maddies repping 450 armor/sec are everywhere, shield tanks cannot even compete.
It's like a gallante assault with 500 ehp, 9 m/s repping 75 armor per second vs caldari assault 250 ehp repping 30 shield per second after the delay.
The hardner nerf was stupid in my opinion. They should have just put a cap to hardener stacking. I used to run a shield tank with one hardener, extender and damage mod and play fair but now the fit sucks because hardener isn't good. railgun tanks with militia turret and damage mods are going crazy because "good" tanks are now weaker than ever.
Tanks are at a point where its like a heavy with boundless HMG and Hp of a standard minmitar scout with no modules. TTK to kill tanks needs to be increased (tank vs tank).
Same stuff applies with dropships, hardener's are literally pointless on them.
I never even ran tripple hardened or even dual hardened vehicles. Never lost so many tanks/ dropships even since the hardener nerf.
History- My tank in 1.6 had 5535 shield and a passive 42% resistance with a heavy booster. Agreed that tanks were slow back then and the boosters/ recharge rates weren't exactly good but it's kind of ridiculous that tanks in 1.6 had more passive resistance than the active hardeners can give me now. Armor hardeners are the same as one complex caprace hardener back then. (I could fit 3 of them in chromosome, 2 in 1.6. Recharge rate of caprace was 15 seconds and 60 seconds lasting, complex hardener is 40 second lasting with 60 second recharge.
Av is weaker and so are tanks except turrets remain powerful. This is a TTK problem with tank vs tank balance. Lets go back to chromosome. |

no, I want 1.6 back to be honest. If not chromosome. Tanks are unfun, unrewarding and arcade like. I want the skill back into tanking, not just who has the biggest gun and had the first shot. |

I am going to have to say that you need to get over the fact that Vehicles are now 90% balanced in all directions.
If I run across a field and someone comes up behind and shoots me and I die should also occur with vehicles. If a tank comes up from behind you successfully then they should be able to kill you. It doesn't make any sense that you should survive, turn the turret, and then beat them.
infantry vs infantry is different. This is vehicle vs Vehicle. Vehicle vs Vehicle combat is like a heavy with the EHP of a minmitar scout running around with a boundless. Big hit box, little HP and seriously LOW TTK. |
